This studio project is the first half of an exploration of a live / work or live / make housing project in Dogpatch, San Francisco. This project examines the impact of information exchange on encouraging and facilitating social interaction and a more communal living environment than what is traditionally available. This exchange is really explored through the potential relationships and interactions between the public and the residents within the building and how these relationships can begin to be expressed through a series of thresholds, or choices that the public and residents can make to decide how they wish to engage with each other.
